Parking was tight, with cars needing to double park. When the lot filled up, I had to move my car so others could get out. Noise was another problem: I heard people in other rooms and dogs outside, and the wind made a loud sound at the bedroom window. Cold air came through there too, so I was freezing and had to sleep turned away from it. Other noises woke me several times overnight. The bed was dirty, cobwebs were there, and water leaked in several spots, pooling in both the bedroom and living room. The sink splashed water onto the floor and walls whenever I washed my hands. With the cold room, rude staff, and facilities that didn't match the photos, this was the worst stay I've ever had. The restaurant was listed as open on Agoda and the hotel's official website, but it was actually closed. I had chosen the hotel partly because I wanted Japanese food after using the hot spring. What I found was completely different from what had been advertised. Agoda and the hotel blamed each other and neither accepted responsibility. After I checked in, the room was very cold. A rude female staff member told me the heating would come on after 6 PM and that I had to wait when I asked for more heat. Later that evening I raised it with the owner, but he said other guests had complained it was too hot and did nothing. The place felt more like a poor rural guesthouse than a proper hotel.

The room was in such bad shape that I told the front desk, but they said it was fully booked and couldn't move me. Shouldn't problems like these be fixed before guests are checked in? Even at peak season rates, I wouldn't pay 300,000 won to stay again. I had booked a deluxe room. The bathroom was clean and the interior had a Japanese ryokan style, but there was noise between floors. The windows were stained despite the ocean view, wallpaper was peeling, and the curtains and bathroom had mold. The bathroom blinds were half closed. Staff said people outside couldn't see in, though I wasn't sure about that. The coffee pot was filthy, and even wiping it with toilet paper left stains.

Water on the first floor is available as much as you like, though the desk is staffed only until 10:00 PM. The place has a traditional Japanese-style ryokan interior, and you can rent yukatas. The cypress bath was roomy and comfortable, but seemed a little neglected. The coating on the faucet was chipping.

On the 26th, a strong burning-oil smell suddenly filled my room. It made my head and respiratory tract very uncomfortable. The in-room air purifier detected gas when I turned it on, and opening the window to air things out only made the smell stronger. I contacted the front desk around 10 PM, but the person responsible wasn't available, and no one answered the emergency number. Much later, the manager came to investigate and said a basement boiler malfunction had spread the smell of burning oil. They told me to ventilate because the smell had eased after the boiler was turned off, but I was still anxious about my health and uncomfortable. I asked for a refund and got an inadequate response at first. After arguing late into the night, I finally received one. The issue dragged on until 11 PM and caused a lot of stress. For such a high room rate, the facility management and customer service fell short of what I expected. I hope they improve things so other guests get better service.

I really liked the room's view, and the spacious bathtub was a nice place to relax while looking out at the refreshing ocean. The meals were good too. For guests staying multiple nights, they changed the main dish at breakfast and dinner so the food wouldn't get boring.
