The only awkward part was getting to the room: one elevator takes you to the lobby, then you have to switch to another for your floor. Still, we had a really nice stay in early November. Our room was roomy, more so than most places we stayed in Korea, and everything was spotless. The modern, well-kept bathroom was especially welcome after a long day of travel. There were lots of places to eat nearby, and the neighborhood felt lively and convenient. A comfortable Seoul stay in a handy location.

Being right in the city makes it easy to get around by taxi or other transport, and shopping is close by. The reception is on the ninth floor of the mixed-use Max Tower Building, so it can take a bit of searching to find, but the stay itself is comfortable. Staff are generally nice, though their English seems limited and they don't speak Japanese. Room quality varies, and some have issues with the air conditioning, doors, or locks. If you ask, they will move you to a different room.

The reception is on the ninth floor, and reaching the hotel's top three floors means using your room card or taking separate elevators.

The view is lovely, and the room feels open rather than stuffy. I liked that the bedroom and bathroom are fully separate, so noise isn't something to worry about. There's a massage chair, and the facilities overall are great and spacious. The deep tub came with bath salts, which were really useful.
