Gochang Hotel Moyangseong

For 50,000 won on a weekday in February 2025, this felt like a worthwhile place to stay in the area. The parking lot is roomy, and there’s a convenience store and cafe nearby. It seemed reasonably clean and maintained. I think there are smoking and non-smoking rooms, so ask about that when checking in.

The weekday rate was very reasonable, and the Korean-style room on the second floor was surprisingly spacious. I booked Hotel Moyangseong online while heading to Gochang. The building itself is large, with a broad, welcoming entrance and plenty of parking. There were drinks and water in the room, plus a bathtub that I enjoyed using. The bedding looked a little old, but it seemed cared for and had no smell. The bidet was a nice touch, too. I had a good rest and got my work done, and now I'm on my way back.

I liked the location, away from the motel district, and the room was roomy with plenty of light from the window. The newer air conditioner made the room feel fresh, and the bathroom had strong water pressure. The non-smoking rooms are on floors 4 through 7, which kept the room clean and free of a musty smell. Good value, too.

The bedding was light but warm, and the room itself was clean. One drawback is there's no wardrobe. Also, live cafes nearby stay open until dawn on weekends, so the noise could make sleeping hard if you're sensitive to it.
