We had a great stay as a family of four while visiting Gongju. The hotel is in a motel area, but it was clean and nice, even though it’s part of a chain. The bathtub is big, and there are LP records. Room 204 has a great view!

The room had a large TV, and the bathroom was clean, with a bidet and a huge bathtub. I also liked the tea set and tea bags on the table, plus the Joe Hisaishi LP records, turntable, comic books, and novels. The staff member told me there’s a spa on the first floor that can be used by reservation. I’d expected the place to be unmanned, but there was a staff member there to guide me kindly. The accommodation was really clean and affordable, so I came away with a positive impression of this chain hotel and would stay again.

They call this an inn, but do they even know what a ryokan is? The photos make it look like one, yet it’s really a remodeled motel. I keep wondering why I paid so much to stay in a motel district. They even charge another 60,000 won for the bath. And I really hate paid bloggers who promote places like this.
