Gunsan Sandeul Guest House

Being able to walk to Gunsan's main attractions was the best part. The place was clean and a great deal for the price, with a fridge stocked with bottled water, hairdryer, coffee pot, Wi-Fi, and a TV with Netflix. The heater kept the room warm enough for sleeping, which I was glad about since I'd worried it might be cold. I'd stay here again if I return to Gunsan. I'd booked a quadruple room, but luckily(?) got upgraded to a double and had it to myself. A few things could be clearer: breakfast isn't available, despite the listing needing an update, and I couldn't figure out check-in at first. I called the number on the sign and got a quick response. The door also doesn't have a lock, which may worry people traveling alone.

The location is decent, with everything worth seeing within walking distance. There isn't a breakfast service or a reception counter, so you call for the door code and let yourself in. They only provide towels, a hairdryer, comb, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste. Bring anything else you need, like chopsticks or a cup for water. There's a Goodwill store right next door if you need to buy something. There's no desk in the room, which makes eating there difficult, so you'd have to eat outside in the pavilion. It's small during this season, so if you can, have your meal outside before returning.

The landlady was so kind, and the room was clean. We each got a cup of ramen too. The location was perfect, just below Dongguk University. I hadn't planned to visit, but it was so close that I decided to stop by. Dongguk University had a captivating atmosphere that autumn morning, and Sandeul Guesthouse gave me the chance to take in a beautiful view. The guesthouse isn't especially large, but it has a lovely charm.

The hot water was reliable, and I had a warm, comfortable stay. The room itself seemed clean, though there was quite a bit of dust in the floor corners and along the edges. I had booked a room for four on a weekday, but was given one for two and used it by myself. I don't think they serve breakfast anymore. ^^;;
