The staff were kind and professional when they dealt with a small issue, and I’d be glad to stay again because of them. The location is excellent, and for the price it’s great value. I was there for three nights and had a good stay overall. The room was a little old and not very clean, though, and the waterproof plastic sheet under the bed was quite uncomfortable.

The rooms are a good size, the bed is comfortable, and breakfast was included. It was good, served in a nice restaurant on the top floor with city views. The bed was a little hard for me, though that seems common in Korea. The hotel has been rebranded as Hotel Artheim. It’s tucked into a back alley, but not hard to find, and offers very good value for the quality. The staff were friendly and spoke some English. The fitness room is well equipped for a hotel and open all day.

My friend’s room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it made for a very pleasant stay. Downtown Gwangju is a good spot for business trips or vacations. I recommend this place.

Now called Hotel Artheim, this place is practically flawless in every other way. The one issue is that there’s no wheelchair access to the breakfast lounge.

There are lots of tourist spots and restaurants nearby, and the hotel is well priced. In my opinion, though, don’t expect the sauna to be the same quality as the room.
