Pedro's House - Hostel

A lovely setting for coffee, hot chocolate, or cake, and you can hear people from all over the world chatting in English. It's close to the subway and major bus routes, with easy trips downtown or to places like the ACC.

What made my six-night stay memorable was the chance to meet other travelers. Pedro helps guests connect, and I enjoyed those little conversations along the way. The house is on a busy street with shops open around the clock and plenty of places nearby for whatever you need. My room had its own shower, and after arriving past midnight I was glad to find it tidy and the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was simple and just the right amount to start the day. The cafe attached to the stay is charming, with lots of thoughtful details. A place I'll remember when I'm in GwangJu.

Pedro's House has been my home in Korea for eight years. My dad stayed here for three months two years ago and is back for another three months in 2024, and my mother, sister, friends, and I have all stayed here too. It's the best guesthouse I've found in Gwangju, and Pedro is so kind. He's the heart of the hospitality here, and every conversation with him leaves an impression. The location is handy, about a five-minute drive from Gwangju Bus Terminal, a five-minute walk from Ssangcheon Subway station, 15 minutes from the Airport, and 20 minutes from Gwangju Train station. There are great travelers and artists to meet, plus coffee or a cold beer at Voyagers coffee shop on a relaxed evening. Sometimes there are yoga classes, bonfires, or meet-ups with other travelers. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT SO MUCH ❤️

Pedro made us feel at home and shared lots of tips for seeing Gwangju and getting a local feel for the city. The rooms and facilities have a homely atmosphere, and breakfast was healthy and good every day. The cafe is a special spot for coffee and drinks. Pedro's a great host and a good guy.
