Prince Hotel

Finding it was simple, right beside Dong-A Hospital, and the room felt as comfortable as sleeping at home. For something in the 30,000 won range, I expected less, but it turned out to be great value. The room was roomy, cozy, and had a comfortable bed. Since getting a good night's sleep is what matters most at a motel, I had no real inconvenience.

The room felt badly worn and dirty, and it seems due for urgent remodeling. The shower area flooded enough to cover the soles of my slippers, and the drain didn't work well. The old wooden door, faded wallpaper, and tangled electrical cords added to the run-down feel. The beds and shower were motel quality, as was the interior, and the parking lot felt like a motel's too. A low curtain over the entrance blocks your view when you go in, so be careful. There's a key-operated vending machine, the bell doesn't work so you have to call, and the rooms use key locks. Getting the computer and monitor working with the TV takes some figuring out. I paid a special price of 25,000 won, but it's absurd that a room like this exists. I briefly checked the room next door before leaving, and it wasn't much different. I don't want to bash the place, but this was just too much.

Getting into town meant a bus ride of about 25-30 minutes each time, and the location wasn't great. The room was dark, and the hotel and room both seemed poorly kept. The hallways smelled bad, the bathroom didn't look clean, and service was rather poor. Reception was just a small peephole.

There was plenty of room, and the air conditioning was cool. The pet-friendly room made the stay comfortable and enjoyable, and I would definitely visit again.
