Staying at Bellus Rose for nine nights in June 2022 felt a lot like visiting relatives. Mrs Park and her husband were warm and attentive, and helped us with whatever we needed. When my friend had to get a Covid re-test at a local centre after an indeterminate airport result, having local hosts with us was invaluable. Mrs Park also gave us restaurant tips, and almost every place she recommended was excellent. Her husband is an avid hiker and had good suggestions for hikes too. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The room was clean but a little aged, and had a lovely balcony overlooking trees. There’s a pool, though we didn’t use it. This is a pension and bed and breakfast run by a local couple, so don’t expect a big hotel with shiny new facilities and surroundings. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop and restaurants, and you can arrange a pickup with the couple if you need one. You accept any shortcomings, but get a lot from staying with locals who are warm and helpful.

Mr Park picked us up at the train station, just as the advertisement said he would. He and Mrs Park were wonderful, courteous and helpful throughout our July 2014 visit from the USA. The room was clean and met my expectations, and the pool was kept very clean and was great for the kids after sightseeing. I had an excellent experience and would recommend this place. Five stars are justified.

The hosts shared local maps and area information, and were happy to suggest things to do. Breakfast was tasty and brought to our room at the time we requested. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with its own kitchenette, bathroom and patio. We loved staying here and will be back!

The only small hassle was needing a taxi to get to and from town, though taxis here are cheap. The place itself is beautiful, stylish and clean, and the staff were really nice. Highly recommended.
