Silla Boutique Hotel Premium

It’s within walking distance of the main bus station, and the front desk staff were kind and helpful. The rooms are small, dated, and only about 3 out of 5 for cleanliness. By US standards I’d rate them two stars. Also, this hotel is NOT part of the Shilla brand.

I only stayed one night, but the clean, modern, well-kept room made it a pleasant visit. I’m especially grateful to the male front desk staff member or manager who helped when I left my haversack on the train. He promptly contacted the train station and reported the missing bag, then reassured me when it was found with nothing missing. His sincere, efficient service impressed me. I’d give this hotel five stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

There’s a convenience store directly connected to the hotel, which is handy. The staff are friendly, and you can walk to the bus terminal and the main tourist area in central Gyeongju. I’d recommend staying here.

My flight was cancelled by the airline because of a typhoon, so I couldn’t make the trip due to circumstances beyond my control. I had booked a room, but the hotel wouldn’t refund the charge. I’ve heard other people had the same experience. I won’t recommend this place to my contacts.
