The room was neat and well kept, with what looked like a newly renovated, modern washroom. The creaky floors were hard to avoid, but they added to the charm of the traditional stay. Even with temperatures down to 3 degrees overnight, the room stayed snug and warm. Mornings can get noisy during rush hour if you're still asleep after 8. You're less than a two-minute walk from tourist sites, with plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. If you're checking in after 9 pm, be ready to email or text the host for the entry code, since no one will be there to check you in.

I was surprised to see the low ratings because I had a great stay. My room was spotless and pretty, with complimentary water, a kettle, coffee drips, and tasty treats. The interior felt cozy and authentic. Highly recommend!

The room was clean, and the bathroom had been renovated. But if you're driving, think carefully before booking. There are paid parking lots in front of the house, charged from 9 am to 6 pm. To get a refund, you have to contact the owner. I stayed three days and never met her. You may need a Korean bank account to receive an e-transfer. I'm Korean and have stayed in Hanok in Gyeongju twice before, and honestly there are much better places to stay. This is far from the main area, the neighborhood feels sketchy, and the parking is awful. Find somewhere else.

The owner lady speaks a little English, enough to sort out the basics, though she isn't around all day. We had to arrange ahead to leave our bags before check-in, so we called, but in the end used a locker at the nearby Express bus terminal. The room felt authentic, was spotless, and had the owner's paintings on the walls. We stayed in winter and it was warm and comfortable inside. A lovely Hanok experience, no real complaints.
