Hotel Palace Gyeongju

I was happy with my stay and would come back to Gyeongju. The room was spacious and clean, with a bathtub, which you don't usually find in Korea. There's a laundry room, free bottled water available all day, and cup noodles you can help yourself to whenever you're hungry. The location worked well, with places of interest within walking distance or a short bus ride from right outside. Breakfast was basic, but good enough.

There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, and the rooms are big with good service. But I couldn't check in early, even when I offered to pay extra, because no rooms were available. I had no choice but to walk around for six hours in 35-degree heat. Quite shocking.

The front desk staff were lovely. Joy was a pleasure to talk to, and the helpful gentleman wearing glasses was great too, though I didn't get his name. Housekeeping was flawless, and breakfast had a decent spread with really good coffee. They also had a ramen maker and complimentary ramen. Towels, bottled water, and toiletries were free to pick up from the cupboard beside reception. Our two-night stay at Hotel Palace was amazing, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was almost as big as a room, and the relaxing rainhead shower was great. The Japanese toilet was a nice bonus. I'd highly recommend it.
