The staff member we met was so friendly and funny. She really made an effort to see that we were having a good time. My Korean friend and she seemed to become best friends over a few days, laughing together nonstop. I almost wished I could understand what they were talking about. Her English was pretty good too, if you’re not traveling with a Korean speaker. The rooms were well kept and nice. The guesthouse is a little away from Gyeongju’s main sights, but having a bus stop nearby made getting around convenient. I’d definitely stay again.

For the price, the stay at Amorim Motel was excellent value. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main tourist attractions in the city. The owner is a lively young woman who speaks good English and lives in the same building, so she’s around if you need anything. Our room had plenty of space, a huge TV, a small table for meals, and a western-style bathroom. There were free bottles of water and a microwave in the hallway. We stayed for 2 nights.

Really nice stay, and I’d recommend it. Park, who runs the place, was so kind and welcoming. Water is free, and you can do laundry at no charge too. The machine is in Korean, but she can help you use it.

We paid 49,000 KRW for a twin room, which felt like the right price. The location was great, and the lady was super nice, although she didn’t speak much English. The room was okay, nothing special, but the hot water and wifi both worked really well.
