Travel Road Guesthouse

I stayed alone in a double room for 15,000 won during the off-season. It was clean and tidy, and I loved how nice the bedding smelled. There were plenty of outlets by the bed, hangers, and air conditioning. I also liked having my own shoe locker, and the toilet and shower were separate. The shower room had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste, and there seemed to be as many towels as you wanted on the first floor. Breakfast was included, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. You can shower until 11:30 PM, and the lights go out at midnight. It seemed like men stayed on the 3rd floor and women on the 2nd. The main drawback was the noise. Soundproofing wasn’t very good, and when it was windy, leaving the window open made the door rattle loudly. The room was a good deal for the price, though. Geumgwanchong tombs and the restaurant Kisoya are right in front of the guesthouse, so you could eat there instead of having breakfast.

It’s clean, Daereungwon is right nearby, and there’s a convenience store within a 5-minute walk. Gyeongju Station isn’t far, either. The owner is very kind.

The host was friendly, the place was clean, and breakfast was delicious. Towels were available without limit. The downside is the poor soundproofing: you can hear the toilet flushing, the shower, and conversations very clearly.

The owner’s travel commentary is full of stories and really makes this guesthouse stand out from the others. It’s the cleanest and friendliest guesthouse in Gyeongju.
