The heating kept the place nice and warm, and Dongmak Beach is very close, right across from the accommodation, with an ocean view. I came across it while visiting Ganghwado and booked it. Since it’s a kids’ pension, I’d recommend it for a trip with children. The soundproofing could be better, but otherwise I was satisfied.
It’s up high, so the view and sunset make it a great spot to have a drink. The place was generally tidy, but charcoal smells from the private BBQ area had seeped through the rooms. The old air conditioner was also really noisy.
Dongmak Beach is within walking distance. From the sea-facing location, you can look out over the water, though when I visited the tide was out and a huge mudflat was exposed. There’s a private BBQ area, but a fence separates it from the next room. You can still hear people talking and see who’s nearby. I’d give it 4 points.
The rough road was the only real downside. I rented the entire downstairs unit, which had two bathrooms, and we had a good time using the indoor barbecue area.
The room turned out smaller than I’d expected, though having a private barbecue spot was nice.
