Ganghwado Mari Pension

I've stayed here four times now. It's right by the ocean, the rooms are kept in good shape, and the owner is friendly :) Downstairs, past the steps in front of the room, there's a private barbecue spot with a cozy fireplace kind of feel. Cats come over to play there too. I'll come back again 🤍

The owner is so welcoming. The water slide and heated pool are both nice, and there's a spa in every room. Since the seawater view stays right there all year, it's beautiful to look at. Simple? [sic]

The owner is friendly, and this is a lovely spot to slow down and unwind. The beachside view is wonderful. The open sea alone can feel a little bleak, but from Ganghwa Island you can see the nearby islands too, which gives the scenery a calm charm and lets you enjoy the changing colors through the seasons. Summer might be livelier with the pool and water slides, but the tube slides and spa are available year-round, so fall and winter are enjoyable as well.

I felt uneasy about the door between the room and spa. It seemed broken and wouldn't lock, so I just went to sleep as it was. The room door itself locked easily. The owners were friendly, the facilities were clean, and the ocean view was decent. At night the room felt cold, but the boiler was already showing 27-28 degrees Celsius, so I couldn't turn it up. I'm not sure what was going on with it, and the temperature reading never dropped even though the air was cold.
