Golden Hotel Incheon

The restaurant on the first floor serves fantastic food at fair prices, and the hotel has lots of supplies in the lobby. We rented the suite on the top floor, which was very roomy, with a generous amount of space. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, along with public transportation. English isn’t as widely spoken in Incheon as in Seoul, so non-Korean speakers should expect to rely on Google Translate a lot.

The location near a train station is about the only good thing I can say. Our first room, on the second floor, was dusty, and the whole floor had a film of soap on it. The AC didn’t work. When we raised it with reception, they reluctantly moved us to another room on the same floor, but it had the same issue. Finally, a male receptionist gave us a room on the third floor. The AC worked there, but it was still dirty, with black marks in the shower and on the duvet cover. There weren’t enough staff, they looked unhappy, and the receptionist even had to run room service. Nothing else about this hotel was great.

The location is nice and the receptionists were nice too, but the service around hygiene and room service was really bad. There was a toothpaste stain in the room when we checked in. They didn’t clean our room during a stay of more than one night, and the same happened to our extended family in another room on a different floor. We had to request towels and water every day. The toilet is too small, and the room design has no hanger or bathroom accessories. Fine for a couple, but not so good for a family.

The room was roomy, and the place was really good.
