Good Day Airtel

A medical emergency meant we couldn't complete our trip, so we canceled our reservation two days before we were due to arrive. The hotel still charged the full rate and denied our request for an exemption. No heart, no soul in Soeul. Shame on you, Good Day.

Once I found it, the place turned out to be great for the price, whether you need to sleep during a long layover or stay longer in Seoul. It’s in a residential building with no business sign, and the manager's office/apartment is number 1011. Go through the lobby, take the lift to 10, and knock. From Terminal 2, the taxi ride was about 15 minutes and cost around $10. I couldn't figure out where to catch the supposedly free shuttle, but the driver was very nice. The room has two nice beds, a private bathroom, fridge, microwave, sink, two-burner cooktop, and clothes washer. It’s not luxury, but I thought it was 100% great and couldn't do much better for the price. The current Manager is from Thailand and doesn't speak English well at all, though he manages to get things done. I still wonder what the checkout procedure is, since nothing describes it.

Check-in is self-service. There isn't a counter to speak with someone, but they provide a number and some instructions for checking in.

The hotel is conveniently located for Terminal 1, and the room was in good condition for the price. I booked it for my mother, but when she didn't answer my calls or messages all night, I was really worried. The professional, friendly staff went to her room right away, found she was there but having phone trouble, and helped fix her phone so she could reach me. I'm very grateful to them.
