Grand Hyatt Incheon Hotel

The gym was huge and fantastic, and I could work out a couple of times a day since it stays open 24 hours. There’s an indoor pool, hot tub, and separate spa areas for men and women, plus a lovely Regency Club with a wide selection. Despite being by a major international airport, the whole hotel felt quiet, and the lobby was spacious and welcoming, with staff ready to check me in right away. The shuttle was easy to find after my international flight, ran frequently, and took about five minutes. The calm arrival made travel feel less stressful. Nearby are other airport hotels, small restaurants, and convenience stores like 7-11. The rooms were amazing, with lush beds and great bathtubs, and felt more like a luxury apartment than an airport hotel. I loved everything about the Grand Hyatt Incheon and can't wait for another layover there.

Sometimes the stereotype is there for a reason. The Hyatt feels like a machine designed to make you feel important. As soon as I arrived, the service was flawless: the shuttle was waiting, chocolates were ready, and staff were eager and polite, practically competing to take my luggage and clearly keen to get me to happy hour. You pay for things to work without a hitch. If you’re passing through and want a sure bet, this place delivers. A great stay from beginning to end.

The bar and buffet restaurant were delicious and well managed, and the staff were welcoming and very helpful. My room was extremely spacious and super clean. The one thing I’d change is the shuttle schedule. Waiting 30 minutes for it in the cold winter was no fun.

We only stayed one night while passing through Incheon on our way home, and the warm welcome, lounge dinner, and heated indoor pool made it a nice stop. My kid also got to run off some energy in the outdoor playground area, even though it was below freezing and getting dark. I wish we'd had time for breakfast. The hotel has a free shuttle twice an hour. It seemed really busy on our arrival and departure, Jan. 1 and 2, and I wondered if it can run out of seats and what happens then. There are other hotels nearby with shuttles too, so maybe overflow guests can try one of those and walk over. Our room on the 11th floor had two twin beds and was comfortable, but the bathroom had no shade, so its light made the rest of the room bright at night. If you like pitch darkness, keep that in mind. Electric curtains on the glass might help. The room came with one complimentary bottle of water and a kettle. I also wish the lounge dinner had more Korean dishes. On Jan. 1, I think kimbap was the only truly Korean dish. We'd have liked to sample more, though I understand the food may be more international to suit local families who also dine there. We enjoyed the stay and would return if we're passing through ICN again.
