Healing Motel

The bathroom is roomy, though there’s a faint sewer smell. Parking is tight, and the electric-panel heating can leave things a little cold. It’s an old motel with no stairs. For a cheap solo night and modest expectations, it’s good value.

The owner was really friendly, and when the PC in my booked room didn’t work, I mentioned it at reception and they switched me to another room right away. The photo showed a room without a PC, but it was compact and comfortable. The place looks recently remodeled, and my room had no stale smell like you can get in older motels. The air conditioning worked well and felt fresh. It’s in an awkward spot and there’s no elevator, which is a shame. Still, it was very clean, and the amenities were well kept. Coffee in the lobby and free ice cream were nice extras. I enjoyed my first night enough to stay another day. Weekdays cost less, while weekends are a little pricier. I’d stay again if I get the chance.

The place is affordable, with a market and coffee shop nearby, so getting around wasn’t too bad. But there’s no elevator, and I had to climb to the fourth floor. The bathroom has no bathtub, and its layout makes going straight between the room and bathroom awkward. There weren’t any movie channels either.

It’s tucked a little off the main road, so it stays fairly quiet. The motel is clean, has what you need, and is reasonably priced. Getting there is the one drawback; otherwise, it was flawless.
