The area around the hostel is quiet and rural, and the town has a relaxed pace. Bus links make it easy to get around. You can pick up a T-money bus card at the local 7-eleven and load 10.000 won onto it. It's a good deal for a clean, tidy, quiet place with reasonable nightly rates. The owner restocks the kitchen every day, so meals are free if you're happy to cook for yourself. There's no excessive luxury or much privacy here, but it does help you keep more of your hard-earned money.

The host even held my luggage for free for about ten days while I travelled in Vietnam, and he kindly offered to take me to the subway station for my trip back to the airport. He also picked me up at the bus station. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were all very clean, which made it feel comfortable and homelike. You can make your own meals for free with what's available in the fridge. The welcome and help were excellent throughout. I'd warmly recommend staying at Better Guesthouse if you want friendly service.

“Pops,” as we called him, made the place feel warm and welcoming. He introduced us to the other guests, and at breakfast we ate our fill of bread, noodles, eggs, milk or coffee, and different jams, which we prepared ourselves. He also kept an eye on what we were wearing before we headed out and told us when to add more layers. That advice really helped, since we hadn't understood how cold -3 degrees would feel. We would've been frozen otherwise. We arrived very late, but Chungi Hong waited for us outside, kept us updated about where we were and what to ride, carried one of our bags, and helped us get settled. Even at that hour he explained the house rules and showed us how to use the heater and turn on the stove gas. I hadn't had that kind of walkthrough at the other guesthouses we stayed at in Korea. If you want a place in Korea that feels like home, Better Guesthouse offers more than a bed, a bath, and breakfast. Kudos.

Better Guest House felt like home, with its thoughtfully designed interior, relaxing atmosphere, and neat, well-kept living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and women's bathrooms. We also enjoyed the free breakfast. Mr. Hong introduced us to the other guests, so we made friends from different parts of the world. My sister, cousin, and I began our winter trip to Korea with two nights in Incheon. Mr. Hong kindly met us even though we arrived late and made sure we wouldn't get lost on our first visit to Korea. We had nearly underestimated the cold, but he gave us helpful weather tips before we travelled. We'd choose Better Guest House again if we return to Korea. ♥️
