Incheon Hotel Ocean View

The photos looked awful, and the place seemed quite far away. There didn’t appear to be regular cafes or restaurants nearby, apart from Korean seafood places, and no convenience stores or grocery shops. I canceled my booking and decided I’d rather pay $150++ to stay around Unseo-dong, near Unseo train station, where there are plenty of shops and food options. Thanks, and goodbye.

Getting here by bus turned into quite an adventure. If you’re coming from the airport, make sure you check that you’re taking the right bus. Naver gave me the wrong directions. The bus stop is above the airport, not on its 1st floor! :)

There’s no elevator, and the listing said a complimentary shuttle was available, scheduled once every hour. I requested a ride in advance and waited, then a group of Koreans came downstairs. The driver refused to take me to the airport, said the shuttle was full, and took only the Koreans with me. He told me to book a taxi instead. He should have said that earlier instead of making me wait, and he didn’t even call a taxi, just left. I found the treatment racist. The rooms were dirty, as expected from a cheap hotel.

Our main issue was the terrible service. Nobody could assist us in English, and the supposedly free airport shuttle was either unavailable or came with an extra charge. Getting from the hotel to Incheon was difficult and took a long time, with 3-4 buses and a journey of 2,5-3h. The rooms and location were ordinary, though the town was almost empty.
