Shine Hotel Incheon Airport

The staff were really helpful and let me check in an hour early for free. I booked a studio apartment, and it was so beautiful. If you're looking for a good hotel, this one did the trick.

The rooms are compact, but they're bright and clean, and the bed is unbelievably fluffy. It's good value, which is why I've stayed a couple of times and would come back. There's a convenience store downstairs, and plenty is within walking distance, though the main area by the metro station is a bit of a trek. The entrance is easy to miss, and automated check-in can be confusing if you're not used to it. Sometimes someone in the room down the hall can help.

The peaceful feel and friendly staff made the stay even better, and the cleaning service was excellent. Our room was spacious and cozy, with a lovely view, and it exceeded what we expected. There’s a convenience store at the hotel and places to eat nearby. We’d happily recommend Shine Hotel and hope to return on another South Korea vacation.

The room itself was clean and new, and it had Netflix and Disney+, but that was about the only upside. Noise from upstairs went on until 1am, and the walls are thin. I arrived around 10pm after a cold, windy, drizzly walk that took about 10 minutes from the subway station, dragging my luggage. Though the hotel is just two stops from the airport, I struggled to find the entrance and front desk. Other guests kindly helped me check in. This is a daily rental suite, not really a hotel. I never spoke directly with the landlord. Airbnb works this way too, but at least there's some way to contact the host besides by phone. Worst stay I've ever had.
