The Central Park Hotel Songdo

The room was pretty and clean enough for one night, but the rest of our stay was a disappointment. My fiancé and I were there the night before flying home. We arrived around 1pm, and they let us leave our bags by reception until the 3pm check-in. That was the only accommodation we got. There was nowhere to sit in the lobby, so we waited in the restaurant, where we had to pay. The green tea was bland, the latte was fine, and the pizza had too much cheese but somehow no flavor. When we asked about WiFi, staff pointed us to an open network they said didn’t work on the first floor. They wouldn’t give us access to the room WiFi before check-in, even at 2:30, and said we’d have to pay a fee, so we declined and waited the last half hour. Once we got into the room, the network was still unsecured and shared with everyone on the floor. That’s unacceptable at any hotel, especially one calling itself “5-star.” The AC, fan, and heating system didn’t work. Even in winter, the room was very hot, and showers made it stuffier. The window only cracked open and let in hardly any air. The comforter was too hot, so I wore the robe they provided and still struggled to sleep. I don’t understand how they can call this a “5-star” hotel. I wish we’d chosen somewhere more welcoming for our last night in Korea.

The rooms felt spacious and carefully laid out, and the whole stay was easy from check-in through check-out. Central Park Hotel in Songdo is clean, modern, and comfortable, with polite, helpful staff. It’s right beside Central Park, so you get lovely views and a quiet, relaxed feel. Great for a morning stroll or just sitting near the greenery and water. A good fit for either work or a leisure visit to Songdo. I’d recommend it.

Ask for a park-facing room when you book if you want the best outlook over Songdo Central Park. The hotel is right by the park, with nice scenery from those rooms, and it’s roughly a 5-7 minute walk from Central Park Subway Station on Incheon Line 1. Rooms are usually clean and comfortable, and the public areas are pleasant. There’s free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and cafe, plus a gym, though the equipment selection is limited. Breakfast is a filling buffet with Korean and international options and coffee. Some guests may want more variety. Whether breakfast is included depends on the rate, so check the booking details. Staff are helpful and friendly.

There’s a nice park just outside for an evening walk, and a shop nearby, but we wouldn’t stay here again. We arrived with our cat after seeing on several sites that dogs and cats were permitted. Before arrival and again at check-in, we were told cats couldn’t stay in the rooms. Showing the hotel’s own Agoda terms eventually got us access. The check-in staff were friendly, and I think it was a misunderstanding, but it was still a stressful start. Our room was spacious, clean, and quite elegant, though the in-room facilities were bare-bones and nearly everything extra cost more. There were only Korean TV channels and no smart TV, which felt like a major downside for foreign visitors in 2026. In winter there was no air conditioning available, and the room got uncomfortably hot. We woke to a temperature above 29 degrees, and our cat was visibly stressed. Staff said the aircon didn’t work, which I took to mean it wasn’t available. That’s unacceptable with pets in the rooms and could be dangerous for them, as well as unpleasant for us. No bellboy was available to help with bags, an inconvenience when travelling with pets and several pieces of luggage, and not what I’d expect of five-star service. The checkout staff were friendly, but only two elevators were working. It took more than 15 minutes to get downstairs because they were full. I might recommend it to a solo traveller, though.
