I booked a weekday night in a third-floor Ondol room because it was affordable and I only planned to sleep there before leaving early. The room's size and condition reminded me of a studio near a university. It was around 6°C that day, and the floor heating worked well, as did the hot water. I would come back. There was some old dust and hair in the towel rack and dust in the floor corners. I trusted that the bedding was being kept up and stayed. There may be a draft, so colder weather could make it harder to use. It seems fine if you're not sensitive to those details and just need a place to sleep. Reviews probably differ based on people's expectations and standards for the room, as well as what things were like during their stay.

The fire risk here is much more serious than the cold. The room layout inside the building feels very exposed and vulnerable to fire, so think carefully before booking. I had a cheap meal and came back with a cold, and a fire scare. Around 11pm, I was frying an egg and it burned for a moment; the smoke set off the fire alarm loudly, but nobody seemed to know. The owner didn't come either. It seems the building may have been illegally remodeled, and the alarm is controlled centrally, so it keeps sounding even if the management office isn't staffed, but nobody pays attention. The room is also very cold. I absolutely don't recommend this place.

The room was clean, and having the option to barbecue was a plus. There's a big parking lot and you can cook here, all for a reasonable price. I searched around and found this place, so the effort paid off. I'll definitely return to Aewol Sea Scent. Good luck! ^^

You can see people fishing near Gueom Port and Gueom Breakwater, with Gueom Village (Gueom Stone Salt Field) behind the property. Iljuseo-ro is out front, and it's at the entrance to the section where Jeju Olle Trail Course 16 runs from inland to the coast. It's a quiet, clean spot with easy access in every direction around Jeju.

There's even a golden retriever in the yard. It's gentle and doesn't bark. The location feels a little out of place, but this is a good, reasonably priced spot with what you need if you're mainly looking for somewhere to sleep and plan your day.
