Best Western Jeju Hotel

The stay itself was fine, though basic amenities weren't provided. The confusing part came at check-in: we had booked because the website said the room could fit three, but were told the price covered only two and that the third guest would cost extra, almost like another room charge. That didn't match what we understood when booking, and it was disappointing. Any fee for an extra guest should be made clear in advance so people know what they're agreeing to.

The room felt hot and stuffy throughout our winter stay in Jeju, even though there was no snow. The air conditioning wasn't working, so we couldn't cool things down and ended up sweating a lot. It made it hard to relax or sleep well. The bathroom also had no bidet, which felt like a basic thing missing since we're used to finding one in pretty much every hotel in Korea. We were also charged extra at check-in for three people, despite the room having a double bed and a single bed. That caught us by surprise, and the booking policy should've been clearer. We chose a Best Western expecting a certain level of comfort, but the issues added up and let us down. I hope they clarify the occupancy rules, get the AC working when needed, and consider adding bidets.

We picked the place mainly for its location in front of a bus station with routes going everywhere. The airport limo stop at Halla Hospital isn't too far either, though in the rain you may need to run. It's about 20 minutes from the airport, with a Starbucks and convenience store downstairs. The gym is bare, and the business centre was being renovated. The room was decent, but there wasn't much beyond the room itself and there was no bidet. Housekeeping came despite our DND sign, leaving cleanish towels and water bottles. After using the blankets and towels, they felt scratchy, and we wondered if they were cleaned well. Most reception staff struggled with complicated English requests, like arranging a van for a particular time, unless using a translation app. Before our airport departure, I was worried when the receptionist didn't know what had happened to our van. The manager eventually confirmed it would arrive and sent us off.

The air conditioning didn't work, which made an already frustrating stay less comfortable. I had booked and paid for a three-bedroom room with a double bed for two and a single bed for another person, yet staff said the room was only for two and demanded an extra payment for the third guest. No clear booking terms or explanation were shown. If it was meant for two, why include a third bed? The confusing room setup, charge, unhelpful staff, and broken facility left me very disappointed with Best Western Jeju Hotel. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting basic comfort, common sense, or transparency.
