We chose a caravan room so the children could try sleeping in one. The inside was fairly clean and organized, and the hotel provided a heater to keep the van warm during our winter visit. It’s close to the sea, with convenience shops nearby. The van seemed poorly maintained, perhaps because it wasn’t occupied often, and the facilities were worn. The bedding and mattress were uncomfortable. I suppose that comes with the caravan experience, so I shouldn’t really complain.

We stayed at Dyne Resort during our round-island bike trip, and the room was comfortable, tidy and cozy after a long day cycling. We got a first-floor room, which was lucky since there’s no elevator. Carrying luggage and bikes up to the third floor would have been difficult. A room warmer helped keep us comfortable. We liked having laundry service right beside the room, and the restaurant served delicious Korean BBQ and black pork for dinner. There’s also a minimart a short walk away for snacks and necessities. We looked at the karaoke rooms but didn’t have time to try them. The pool was closed because of the cool weather, though it looked like a nice place to relax when it’s warmer. The main hassle was checking in. We’d planned to arrive around 1:30 PM, drop our bags and go to the gravity racing park, but unforeseen circumstances delayed us until 2:45 PM. There was no receptionist or check-in desk, and the self-service kiosk didn’t open for check-in until 3:00 PM. We waited about 20 minutes at the information counter. Using the kiosk was straightforward, but there wasn’t anyone available to help us leave our luggage early. The room was missing bath towels, with only two hand towels provided, and there were no toothbrushes, toothpaste or foot towel. Luckily Kitty had brought disposable towels. We also found it odd that the mattress protector was on top of the bedsheet instead of underneath. The wall sockets were loose, so our travel plugs were difficult to connect and kept disconnecting while charging. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the resort was a convenient base for our Jeju Island adventure. The missing room supplies, loose outlets and lack of early luggage drop-off could be improved.

There are plenty of food choices, and I liked the BBQ restaurant. The hotel’s western restaurant was surprisingly good too, and the chef clearly knows how to cook western food. The free live music was a nice touch, though Korean oldies aren’t really my thing. Staff were generally pleasant. An older maintenance worker who spoke English kindly carried my bags up two flights of stairs, even though it wasn’t his job. I really appreciated the help while holding my baby. The location and surroundings are good, with an ocean view and lots of food nearby. It’s far enough from the city to feel away from it, but not too far from the airport. I only wish there were a nice sandy swimming beach nearby, like Galki Beach, though that’s just a 30-minute drive. The resort itself was decent, but nothing special. The rooms were okay, though poorly maintained and furnished, with just three accessible electrical outlets. Towels and sheets were low quality, there was no crib for babies, and no dresser or wardrobe for belongings. Parking was seriously limited, so hold on tightly to your space. The pool was also poorly maintained and needs major renovation. It looked like a cheap leftover from the 70s, with bugs and leaves. There’s another hotel rooftop on the roof, but using it costs an excessive amount and requires a reservation.

Be careful booking this property through third-party sites. Not all rooms allow pets, which can mean cancellation fees. I made a reservation yesterday, and this morning the property emailed to say the room I’d booked wasn’t pet-friendly, even though the website said it was. When I called, they said they couldn’t change anything and would deduct cancellation fees from what we’d paid.

The room is beautiful, and we’re loving our stay so far. The rooftop saltwater infinity pool is just the right temperature, with a spectacular ocean view. The breakfast buffet has plenty of Korean and American-style options.
