I had a great stay here. It's a good base for hiking near Jimibong Peak, and the owner is really friendly.

We were so happy sitting with coffee in the warm room and looking out at the wind. It was incredibly windy that day, and an iced Americano during the snowstorm felt like pure bliss! Haha. The room was so warm, too. The place sits below Jimibong Peak, which is great for daily hikes, and convenient for visiting Udo Island and Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. I'd definitely come back.

At night, I walked around and saw so many stars, it felt like my heart was filling with light. The owner was incredibly kind, too: tell them where you want to go and they'll put together a suitable itinerary and even take you there. The new pension was clean, with a spacious bathroom, and our special room fit 4 people with space for 2 more. From the room in the morning, I could watch the sunrise over green fields and the sea. Jongdal Port was nearby, so getting to Udo Island was easy, and the Haenyeo's House (Diver's House) nearby was delicious. The sea was only a 5-minute walk away. On the first floor, the unmanned cafe had a view of Jimibong Peak and was a lovely place to relax. I also enjoyed climbing the peak and seeing Udo Island, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, and Hallasan Mountain all together. Everything was just wonderful.

If you're traveling on foot, it's handy that the owner provides pick-up and drop-off at the nearest bus stop. Jongdal Port, for trips to Udo Island, is also within walking distance. Jimibong Peak is right behind the accommodation, and from the top you can take in a panoramic view of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and Udo Island. You can watch the sunrise right from where you're staying, too. I happened to catch it while sitting down to put on my socks that morning, haha.
