Ellui Hotel Jeju

The location was a highlight during my three-night stay in September 2018. The hotel is on a busy downtown street lined with shops and restaurants, and the area across from Jeju City Hall is especially packed with eateries, shops, arcades, and more. It’s livelier at night, with colorful lights. There’s a bus stop right outside for popular sights, the bus terminal is about 10 minutes down the street, and the airport may be about 20 minutes away by bus. It was very quiet when I visited, possibly because it was off season. I only saw one other guest. This is a budget hotel, and breakfast isn't free. They offer it for 5000 won if you let them know the day before. I was initially concerned when I saw a can of bug spray in the room, but I didn't see any bugs. The room was a good size, with a queen bed, a twin bed, an entryway for shoes, and a bathroom. There was a TV, AC, and mini fridge. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet all together, no tub, and the toilet has a butt sprayer. The mattresses and pillows were very firm, which I liked. The AC only works with the remote. The wall panel was dead and should be marked so guests don't get confused.

Ellui Hotel is clean and affordable, with fast Wi-Fi. They have a microwave, computers, and a washing machine you can use for free. What stood out most was how kind and helpful the staff were, especially when giving directions. They speak English well. The hotel is near the airport and within walking distance of the Jeju bus terminal, which made getting to other places and tourist spots easy. I’d gladly come back. Thanks so much, Ellui Hotel! 😊

It’s a small, basic hotel, but the bus station right outside is handy. A short ride gets you to the city center in four stops. For the price, though, I think it’d be better to stay closer to Jeju City Hall, where the shops and bars are.

It's a basic hotel, and I wasn't expecting much. Still, finding a half-empty plastic water bottle on the desk, a used ear-cleaning cotton bud on the bed, and dirty water left in the kettle was upsetting. It made me wonder whether they had changed the sheets after the previous guest checked out. Maybe I shouldn't have expected more.
