There’s free parking under the hotel, which was handy for our rental car, and the location itself is totally fine. The room was okay, but the shower was a problem: the water didn't drain well, and after about five minutes it started seeping out of the shower. They said it was designed that way to keep smells from getting into the room, but that made showering unpleasant. Reception also felt a bit cold. Honestly, a little disappointing.

The room was clean, but there were no amenities at all, not even tea or coffee. Our view was very close to the apartment building in front, which is a small studio building. The staff weren't very kind either. It's called a four-star hotel, but the service doesn't feel like four-star quality, and I don't think it offers value at that level.

The location worked well for us, with a park behind the hotel, several 24-hour convenience stores, and a 24-hour laundry nearby. Breakfast had a pretty good spread, and there were extra tables in the lobby. The staff were accommodating and patient; when we asked where to get chicken and beer, someone even printed a map for us. The rooms are a little small for three people, as in the photo, but clean and cozy. A great place to stay otherwise.

Very, very bad experience ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️. People who can read this, avoid this hotel and Jeju Island as a tourist destination immediately !!!!!!!!!!! I believe Chinese people face serious discrimination, theft at hotels is widespread and hard to resolve or get compensation for, one hotel card can open multiple rooms, the attractions are monotonous and ordinary, and shopping costs more than buying things back home. Incident: boys entered our room without permission and used the bathroom (p1). So far, we have received no compensation or solution. On August 22, after talking with the front desk, we entered the room with a man who had used the bathroom. It took about three minutes for the front desk to stress that we could ask someone to clean the room the next day. Their focus was on cleaning, not safety, and it felt like they were changing the subject. I asked to check the surveillance footage. They said nobody had entered our room, but after about 30 minutes they still wouldn't let me view it with them. They also insisted there was only one key to each room and only we could open our door. That answer was very questionable. A cleaning card can open room doors, and hotel management or the front desk may also have a special card. Some technology might open the door too. I didn't see the footage, and the front desk generally doesn't have the right to view surveillance directly, so I didn't find their response credible. I then chose to contact Ctrip to resolve the issue. On August 23, Ctrip handled all communication with the hotel. I asked for a manager to help resolve the problem and to see the footage myself. After the first communication, they said they had no manager, and that the manager worked every Monday, which was just after we had returned to China 👍. In the second conversation, the woman at reception said she was the manager on duty and that I could talk to her about any problems. Okay, a random manager, right? They also refused my request to view the footage, saying guests weren't allowed to see it. They said I would have to call the police to view it, though the police might not be able to view it either. See p4. We have since moved to another hotel. After looking at posts on Xiaohongshu about hotel theft and sudden intruders at Jeju Island hotels, these are my conclusions: 1. Unexpected room intrusions at Jeju hotels seem to be normal, because many hotels have a card that can open other rooms in the same hotel. It's hard to defend our rights and get the issue resolved. 2. Hotel theft is also common on Jeju Island. Cleaning staff and front desk staff are likely to be in the same gang. See posts tagged # Jeju Hotel theft. 3. Calling the police won't help unless you're American. I also checked related posts on the hotel's Xiaohongshu: 1. With other people in the room, a man used a card to open their door and almost broke in. Luckily the door was blocked (p2). 2. The hotel has a serious hygiene problem.

The main downside was how worn the hotel looked, especially the lounge chairs in the lobby, with fraying, stains, and plenty of wear and tear. It felt poorly maintained. I came in late March and was told the air conditioning was centrally controlled, with heating as the only option then. I couldn't change it, so opening the windows was the only way to get cool air, with the risk of mosquitoes. They did provide insect repellent. The room itself was huge, with a king bed, a single bed, and a very large bathroom with a rain shower and automatic toilet. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. I also appreciated the hotel's own basement parking, since parking around the city is awfully crowded. Still a decent clean hotel if you're not expecting anything luxurious.
