Jeju Marevo Resort

Ju Su Kim at reception was the one person who really tried to help. Thanks, buddy. He did his best to arrange an extension for one more night, while the other colleagues just didn’t care. The staff are friendly and always smiling, but to me it felt like a smile stamped on their faces. The rooms are huge but empty, with no proper sideboards or cupboards, so it’s better to keep everything in your bag. There’s no laundry service, à la carte dining, or housekeeping. The split air conditioners beep every time they reach the selected temperature, day and night while running. The floors were dirty, and the breakfast restaurant was full of student groups, with food on the floor. The coffee was like brown water with only a faint coffee smell. At 120-140€ a night, this hotel costs too much. It felt more like a campsite. This was my first and last stay here. Never again.

Marevo has a lovely property, a nice pool, and a stunning ocean view. So why blast a collection of awful top 40 hits everywhere, even outside, so you hear Ed Sheeran whenever you open a window or try to relax in nature? And then they close the pool four hours before they finally turn off the music.

For a trip to Jeju Island, South Korea, this resort hotel gives you a good price and location for enjoying a “Korean Hawaii” vacation.

The rooms were bright and clean, and the friendly staff made my stay comfortable. It’s a pleasant, quite affordable place not far from the seashore.
