Sejong Hotel Jeju

The room had a kettle, fridge, hairdryer and shower, but no bathtub or microwave. They supplied water, a hand towel, toothbrush and toothpaste. I stayed six nights and housekeeping never came, which personally didn't bother me. Check-in was strictly at 3:00 PM, though they let me leave a little later than the set checkout time. It was cheap, 4700 yen a night for six nights, and I'd stay again if I get the chance. The Grand Hyatt casino is a walk away, far enough to make for a nice bit of exercise.

The location was good, but at that price I could have found somewhere better. The room didn't look much like the photos and wasn't very clean. Even the toothpaste seemed used, so I'd rather they hadn't left it out. At check-in nobody was at the desk. A Chinese woman spoke through a webcam and asked us to show our passports, which felt unpleasant. A Korean man came along later and helped us check in.

The room was decent and didn't smell of cigarettes. Hot water worked well, though the shower lever was confusing. If it doesn't come out at first, turn the lever left or right and wait. The ceiling-mounted air conditioner can heat the room too. For parking, choose Fan Power Parking and park there. Tell them you're from Sejong, then give the hotel your license plate number when you arrive.

Parking was easy in the outdoor lot, and the building has five floors. There's a smoking area on the fifth floor, which I appreciated. The location is handy too, with lots of attractions nearby.
