Mon Dieu Hotel

We were happy with our stay and I'd give it 9/10. The room was clean and the soundproofing was really good, with double glass doors and an insect screen. The firm beds were comfortable, and from bed we had gorgeous sea and rocky-coast views, plus lovely sunsets. The staff were very helpful, even though they weren't fluent in English. There's a convenience store less than 200m away, plenty of good restaurants nearby, a bus stop right outside, and taxis were easy to get. The main issue was space. Two double beds made the room feel small, and if the maximum is three people, a queen bed or a double with a single would leave room for a comfy sofa or luggage. I wasn't sure about the queen size bed, which is why I booked this room. There was nowhere to sit apart from two stools or the beds, and hardly any room to hang clothes. The bathroom is small but works well. I liked the overhead bar that keeps the bathing area separate and can hold wet clothes. The lower shower holder was installed the wrong way, though, so it couldn't hold the shower at waist level. Towels were tiny, more like face towels. Four pieces were fair enough, but six would be better, with two hand towels. The microwave had stains that seemed permanent even after I tried cleaning it. We weren't sure the slippers were sanitized, so we didn't use them. If they are sanitized, the hotel should say so. Also, the reception should point out the free drink sachets at the front desk, even with the language barrier.
