The furniture is old, and the network was unstable or wouldn’t connect at all.

The room was bigger than I expected and had been cleaned well. But the only window was tiny and had no screen, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and footsteps overhead echoed loudly, like the place was a cave. I couldn’t tell if the guest upstairs was King Kong or if the building just carries sound that much. The lobby was always empty. When I called, the owner would usually handle requests, such as early check-in, coolly. Their tone made it hard to know whether they were friendly, uninterested, or just sleepy. If Wi-Fi isn’t important to you, you could check whether King Kong is staying there and get a cheaper rate.

There was no sunlight in the damp room, and I found a cockroach. I only stayed one night, but the stale air and lack of cleanliness left me with a cold.

It’s comfortable, though more like a motel in standard. The prices are cheap, and the central location is handy. There’s a restaurant right next door, so I can pick what I feel like eating.
