I could watch the female divers going into the water each morning from the veranda, which also had a lovely ocean view. The veranda was roomy enough for drying laundry, and the bathroom was spacious too. Hamdeok Beach takes a little while to walk to, but it’s only a 3-5 minute drive. The young owner handles bookings and requests easily through KakaoTalk, phone, or text. We got plenty of towels each day and there was lots of parking. Stray cats are around and need care, though there’s nothing to worry about. BBQ costs 20,000 won, with charcoal, a grill, and other supplies provided, but you bring the meat. This place is incredibly good value.

It’s a remote beach area, so there’s no convenience store within walking distance. The nearby farmland may be causing a fertilizer smell, and it made the beach impossible for me to enter. Still, it’s close to a fishing breakwater and to Gimnyeong and Hamdeok, with a nice view at night.

The bed was hard, the lighting dim, and there were lots of bugs. The towels smelled, and there was no consideration for guests.
