The Jade hotel

I really enjoyed the huge tub, which came with bath salt and plenty of towels. At 1.98 meter, I managed three baths during my 5 stays. The large room had a separate tub, a big firm but comfortable bed, and good pillows. The shower was spacious, hot, and powerful, with nice bathroom products in large pump bottles. A razor was available on request. There's a handy fridge, and bottled water was provided free each day. The TV was large and had lots of channels. Staff across reception, the bar, and restaurant were friendly, with plenty of spots to hang out. Wi-Fi worked well throughout. Great value if you like modern rooms and hallways with an almost industrial look. Highly recommended.

The location was okay, with food and reasonable amenities nearby. Parking took a while to sort out because the one-way street meant making a big loop behind the hotel, though that wasn't my main concern. The photos make this place look bigger and nicer than it is. We were promised 23 square metres, but estimated our room at about 15. After opening one medium-large suitcase, there was hardly room to move. The room was somewhat run down and not fully clean. The stairs were unrenovated, felt unsafe, and were fenced off. Looking for extra towels, we found spare towels, bottles, and other room laundry dumped on the dusty, dirty floor of a storage closet. The front desk usually wasn't staffed. The café worker also had to cover hotel duties, so getting help during café hours was difficult. Staff spoke very little English and didn't seem eager to help. One star for the dishonesty, misleading marketing, and prices that weren't justified.

I nearly cancelled after reading some reviews, but the location turned out to be fantastic. It was close to dongmun market, black pork street, olive young, and issac toast. The rooms were a little small but practical. Staff could have been around more. I liked it better than my other hotel in jeju.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is cozy, serves good food, and is close to the airport. The rooftop is a little small, but a nice spot to unwind at night. I liked the room layout, with a table and two chairs in the middle and a separate “room” for the bathtub apart from the usual shower washroom. The heated flooring was the best part. I'd definitely stay here again if I visit Jeju.
