Tour de Jeju

March 4, 2023 The owners seem to have brought everything they learned from staying in guesthouses into this place. The little details caught me off guard: there’s an outlet beside the bed pillow, a USB charging port, and a spot on the bed to put glasses or a stand. I also liked the clothes rack in the bathroom. Most rooms seemed to be small private rooms, and I appreciated that they had locks. There aren’t many places to eat around Jongdal-ri, but some nearby shops stay open until a reasonable hour. There was also a nice spot close by where I could sit and reflect. It’s handy being near Jimibong Peak. Just keep in mind that parking fits only three cars, and you have to drive through a narrow alley to get in.

The neighborhood has some surprisingly good places to eat and drink, so take a look around. The room and bathroom were clean, too. It’s especially suited to cyclists, though other visitors should find it a good place as well.

For the price, I was amazed by how well kept everything was. The streets are brightly lit at night, which felt reassuring as a solo traveler. I’ve never stayed in such a clean, well-managed guesthouse before.

The guesthouse is very clean, and breakfast is simple but tasty. Jimibong Peak is right across from it. For sunrise photos, Jongdalham is 850 meters away, with Udo and Seongsan Ilchulbong in the background. There are about five ferries from Jongdalhang to Udo, which makes getting there convenient.
