A nice spot for a family get-together. The upstairs area is quite large, and having a barbecue is a bonus. The air conditioning was running full blast, so it stayed cool. When I visited last time, though, there was construction by the entrance and I had to figure out where to leave the car. Aside from that, it was great.

The big draw is convenience. It's just behind Hanok Village, and both the village and a convenience store are within a five minute walk. The facilities are decent, and it feels like a renovated private house with only a locked door between it and the neighboring home. If you're after a quiet stay, choose somewhere else. Some things inside are worn, which might make you think hygiene is poor, but it was quite clean overall. The place is very well equipped, with a microwave, rice cooker, cooking tools, water purifier, TV, and air conditioning. The cooking tools were the one disappointment, possibly because the previous guest hadn't wiped them down properly. The bathroom, towels, and overall smell were clean and pleasant. The living room was cozy, and the heating worked well in winter. I had a good stay.

Haemil Guesthouse is near Jeondong Cathedral, which makes exploring Hanok Village easy. The price is affordable, and the facilities are on the modest side too. Cooking isn't allowed. Parking is only available to people staying in the accommodations next door.
