Shangria Beach Tourist Hotel

Just an ordinary hotel, with clean rooms and a good city location. It works if you're looking for an affordable place to stay, though!

There are bars and restaurants not far away, and for a 3-star hotel it wasn't so bad. We mentioned finding hair from previous guests in the bathroom, and they promptly upgraded us to a deluxe room with two double beds. The shower pressure could use some adjustment.

The location is really nice, with lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is decent and clean, with a pleasant smell. Breakfast was a little limited, but okay.

The best thing about Shangria beach tourist hotel in Mokpo was its location. Staff service and communication were such a letdown. I asked for a room with an open beach view, and the staff agreed. After I went upstairs and unpacked, all I could see from the window was a Motel. When I spoke to the receptionist, he later asked whether I wanted to pay more to upgrade. The information I'd been given was wrong, and for a moment I felt fooled. Amenities were average, though the fragrance spray for clothes was an unusual standout. The room was quite small for what I paid. I've stayed in hotels all over the world, and this one fell well short of the basic security and comfort I look for. I was willing to overlook things until I found a ripped towel in the bathroom. That really caught my attention. I've attached a picture so you can see I'm not joking. I don't know what the cleaning staff's procedure is for handling something like that, but I definitely felt unwelcome. Calling Shangria hotel a 3-star place makes no sense to me. Next time, I'd just stay at a motel. I don't think I'd miss much. Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps.
