Mua Guesthouse

I really appreciated the laundry help. They did it for a small fee, and my clothes came out piping hot from the dryer, so I didn't have to go find a self-service laundry place. The hosts were lovely, and the cats were so friendly. My room was big and had air conditioning and underfloor heating, and the shower had plenty of hot water. Getting around was easy. The intercity bus terminal was within walking distance, and I took a day trip to Gurye, about 30 minutes away by bus. There's also a bus to Jirisan Baemsagol, and the host can share travel and food details. I added a guide for getting there in the image. It's a 19-seat bus, 20 including the driver. The place is walkable to Nanwom's main attractions, with cute cafes and food options nearby. Taxis often pass on the street, which made it easy to get back to the train station. There are two accommodation buildings, so find the hosts and they'll point you to your room. I stayed in the non-hanok building. If you're assigned a second-floor room, you'll need to climb stairs.

The owners, the boss and his mum, were friendly and made me feel comfortable whenever I was making ramen in the common area. I hadn't planned an itinerary for Namwon, but the boss emailed me a list of cafes and restaurants, which saved me lots of time looking for food. Mua was quiet and clean, with neat rooms. It's near plenty of eateries, cafes, the bus terminal, and a lake where you can watch the musical fountain around 7 each evening. Chunhyang theme park is across the road, near the art museum. Gwanghallu park and its occasional performances are also nearby, along with a cycling track beside the lake. It was a really pleasant stay, and I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in Namwon.

So-Yi and her mom, the guesthouse owner, made me feel like part of the family. They were welcoming and very helpful with information about places to visit. They even cooked ramyeon for me, thank you! I stayed four nights in a comfortable bunk bed room and really enjoyed it. I didn't take any photos at the guesthouse, sadly. It's close to a bus stop, the local bus station, and Namwon Air Rail. The iconic local garden is only 5-10 minutes away. I hope to stay here again in the future.

The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and this is a great spot for exploring the area. The accommodation itself was spacious, comfortable, and very nice. I wish I could have stayed longer.
