For the price, this was a comfortable place to stay. Even in peak season it was quiet, and the kids loved the pool when we went to check it out in summer. Bongpyeong-myeon is just a five-minute walk away. Service was fine, though the facilities feel old and could use some maintenance. If you’re not fussy about food, it’s a nice spot to unwind.

The price is about the only plus I could find. The sound carried terribly: a group in the next room kept shouting, talking and laughing until 5 AM, and we could hear it all. We finally knocked and asked them to quiet down, but it stayed noisy. There was also a chemical smell we couldn’t identify from the moment we entered until checkout. The wooden stairs looked rotten enough to give way and wobbled underfoot, which felt dangerous. And although there was a two-burner gas stove, the supplied cookware was so large that we couldn’t use both burners at once. My companions couldn’t believe they’d supplied pots that didn’t fit the stove properly.

It’s about a 10-minute drive to Phoenix Park. The room was scorching, and the place seemed a little dated, but the price was reasonable and I had a quiet night there. The swimming pool appears to be open during summer.

The route there was confusing, but the view was lovely once I arrived. Inside, it was warm enough to feel like hellfire, which I liked. I had to ask another cleaning staff member about recycling because the instructions weren’t clear. Some guidance posted in the room would help.
