For the price, this place is hard to beat if you're skiing. It's right across the open-air car park from the resort, so being on-site and skiing in and out was great. The underfloor heating worked so well that the room felt evenly warm, and the convenience store downstairs had a good range. The kitchen had a few pans and just enough plates, bowls and cutlery, but no oil, salt or other seasoning. The closest supermarket is a 15-minute drive away. A heads-up on the layout: there are two entrances, but reception is on Level 2 at the back of the building. The entrance that looks like the main one, by the car park, is at B4. Full-size bath towels aren't provided. Apparently you can get them for 1,000 won each, though we brought our own and didn't try. The floor mats are very thin, maybe about 30% as thick as ones I've seen in Japan. They were barely enough for my 8- and 10-year-old kids and wouldn't work for adults. The biggest surprise came on our last day. Even though B3 has a ski storage area and people leave their gear along the walls there, resort staff cleared out every ski, pole and snowboard and loaded them into a Yongpyong resort van. They said the equipment couldn't be stored there. They showed us a short notice in Korean with dates that didn't even cover our stay, so I couldn't tell what it said. It was startling that gear was removed without a clearer warning in a place marked for ski storage. The worker said we should use the paid lockers, but Google Translate's version of the locker instructions said they were for same-day use only and didn't mention overnight storage. I'd keep skis in your room to avoid having them taken away. Even with those issues, I'd stay again. I'd book a bigger room next time so the kids don't have to sleep on the floor.

The location is a real plus, close to the ski hills and facilities. The room was okay, though the laminate floor is coming apart and ought to be fixed before the gaps grow or someone catches a foot in them. Outside the main check-in area, the facilities look old, and the hallway carpet could use a proper vacuum.

We had a nice, simple stay, with the warm floors, roomy space, and ski-in, ski-out access working well for us. The floor mattresses could use more padding, and the sofa was hard. Also, when towels are listed as provided, it should be clear they're hand-towel sized rather than bath towels. Guests have to sort and take out their rubbish, but the refuse room wasn't kept up well. The whole condo only had two washers and two dryers, which felt like too few for a ski resort. Basic and no-frills, but still a pleasant stay.

The suite was quite large, with two bedrooms, a living and dining area, and a small kitchen with appliances. There was no bottled water, though. The resort itself felt old and wasn't very clean; some towels were stained. I also found the thermostat difficult to adjust, and the language barrier made that harder. We'd hoped to ski, but it was too warm for the snow to build up, so we couldn't. That left us with a below-average hotel stay, especially with the place three hours from central Seoul.

I've been here for the last five days and will be leaving in a few more, and I'm already going to miss it. I've made so many memories here with my kids. I remember visiting 25 years ago, maybe even earlier. It's not new or shiny, but it has a cozy, warm feeling that I love. I'll definitely come back.
