Hotel101 Pyeongtaek Branch is handy for getting around. It's near the subway station, with convenience stores and restaurants close by for meals and everyday shopping. The location also makes it easy to head farther afield. The rooms are modern and attractive, with a comfortable feel. There's a wide-screen TV, air conditioning, a mini fridge, a hair dryer, and a sofa. The bathroom is spacious and well equipped. Some rooms also have sex toys for guests who want them. Payment is straightforward for foreign visitors as well, including by international card. With its modern facilities and good service, Hotel101 Pyeongtaek Branch is a convenient option in Pyeongtaek.

The facilities aren't what bothered me. It was the way the owner treated my time and money that left me questioning his character. I let the 20 minutes he and his wife took during check-in pass without saying anything, but then they treated my hour and 20 minutes as if it didn't matter. The owner's wife told me to wait while she carried on with what she was doing, without apologizing. After about 20 minutes, the owner came down with my card key and checked me in. It was awkward and rude. Guests were getting ready to leave an hour before checkout, but while I was showering the owner suddenly started calling me an hour before my own checkout. He called again 30 minutes before, then came to knock himself. At 10 minutes before, he was still knocking, making it hard to get ready to leave. This place keeps pressuring people to get out early. If checkout was at 4 p.m., it seemed to start at 3; if it was 5, it started at 4. It doesn't feel like a place that cares about people. Then, right on the hour, the electricity went out. I couldn't shower properly and had to leave halfway through. If the owner takes 20 minutes to appear when you check in, I guess you should expect he's busy rushing other guests out. I can't understand his wife's indifference to whether guests are inconvenienced, or what kind of education their children get.
