Pyeongtaek 1981

It felt more like being at home than staying in a hotel. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and very quiet. The train station was about a seven-minute walk away, and the shopping area was close too.

There are plenty of restaurants around Pyeongtaek Station, and Tongbok Market is right beside Pyeongtaek 1981, so you can enjoy the traditional market too. The hotel itself is a surprising find near the station. Its retro theme runs through the props and decorations as well as the interior, without feeling too old-fashioned. There are lots of photo spots, which makes it fun for couples to spend time together. You can also look through comics at the comic book store, use the computers and printers for printing during rush hour, or play the classic arcade games. For a stay of several days, it's handy that you can make simple meals and use the washer and dryer.

The owner was so kind that even someone who hadn't planned to leave a review would want to come back. For me, the owner matters just as much as the room when deciding whether to return. The beds are really soft and have what you need, and the retro style makes this one of the prettiest places near Pyeongtaek Station. You can see how cute it is in the photos, and there's a sweet little photo spot just outside the main gate, too. ㅎㅎ I'd recommend it for couples or groups of female friends :)
