Lapis Hotel

We picked this place because we wanted somewhere really secluded, and we were happy with that choice. It’s spacious, quiet, and has mountains on one side and the sea on the other, with fresh air. There isn’t much nearby, though. The “convenience store” is more like a kiosk, so stock up on groceries and snacks before arriving. Room service ends at 8 o’clock. If you’re swimming in the ocean, bring something like a clothesline, since the roomy veranda doesn’t have one. The pool is for children, but it’s nice for a dip while looking out at the sea. Just know the water is cold, and based on the July weather, it’s only warm enough for swimming in the afternoon. ♡

The breakfast abalone porridge was satisfying, and the place was quiet with friendly staff. Still, the bed was tiny and uncomfortable, almost like a child’s bed, and I was afraid of rolling off, so I couldn’t sleep well. There’s no bidet either. The facilities need more investment. They’re similar to the motel across the way, but the price is twice as much.

I ended up staying two days after golf because South Cape was fully booked. The room was very clean, and the restaurant was decent. My room had a new LG TV, a small fridge, microwave, induction cooktop, one pot, cups, and plates. Shampoo and soap were provided, and there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The first-floor pool is shallow and suited to young children, though it’s not very big. You can see the ocean from the balcony. There’s also a snack bar on B1, but it only runs at set times and isn’t always staffed, so buying snacks at a convenience store outside is a better bet.

Apart from the construction going on nearby, everything was fine. It’s a newly built hotel, so it was clean and pleasant, though the other amenities were a little lacking. If comfort is what you’re after, this is a great place. ^^
