Lagobaum Hotel

I stayed for 10 days. The hotel is by the lake in Sejong-Si, with very nice views from outside. Breakfast was very good, and the room had a balcony, clothes dryer, and toiletries. The price and service were good too. The city centre and restaurants are a bit of a walk, around 10-15 minutes.

A lovely place to walk around is the man-made lake, with birds and beautiful trees and flowers. The hotel itself is very clean and luxurious, and feels worth the price. It’s in a nice part of a city that’s only about ten years old. The cafe is worth a visit too, and the service was very friendly.

The staff made a big difference during a stressful moment on our two-week trip through Korea. My family and I had a minor car accident, and though it had nothing to do with the hotel, General Manager JiHee Kim helped us sort through the situation and made sure it was resolved smoothly. Her compassion and professionalism left a lasting impression, and we’re very grateful for her support. Mr. Kim at reception was also attentive and friendly. He helped with directions and suggestions for local attractions, and both he and JiHee Kim made us feel looked after. Lagobaum Hotel Lagobaum Hotel was also easy to find and conveniently located. It was spotless throughout, with clean rooms and fresh linens. The bed was especially comfortable, and the amenities added to the stay. For the whole two weeks I spent in Korea, this was the best hotel I stayed at. I’d happily return.

The soundproofing was worse than I expected. I woke in the middle of the night because a woman in the next room kept shouting. It wasn’t a scream, but it was loud enough to wake me. Weekends also have a parking drawback: you need to leave the car in a dirt lot near Sejong Library and walk over. After rain, shoes, luggage, and the car can all get dirty. The four-story property is in Sejong Lake Park. I’d walked around the area without realizing there was a hotel there, which surprised me. It feels somewhere between a hotel and a motel, with a small scale and fewer amenities than other Sejong hotels. Breakfast is available and is mostly Korean food, with dishes older guests might enjoy. The area is quiet, but the lake park location isn’t ideal if you want lots of food options nearby. Prices are relatively low for Sejong, and considering the rooms and other factors, it’s still a reasonable choice.
