We had confirmation through both direct messages and the booking site about our arrival time and the number of people, and the site said we could pay when we got there. The owner also confirmed in messages that we'd have somewhere to stay. But when we arrived, they said no room had been reserved for us and they were sold out. The owner wasn't apologetic and couldn't even suggest another place for us on a cold winter night. I will never book here again or recommend it to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

Although it seems recently built, the place feels poorly maintained. The interior, TV, and other facilities are very low quality. I was in an ondol room, but it hadn't been heated at all before I checked in, so it was freezing, and stayed cold at night. Checkout is at 10 a.m., earlier than the previous checkout time. For a family with kids, it's a tight window to feed and bathe them, sort the trash, and pack everything up.

The owner was friendly, and the shared showers and toilets were in good shape. I paid 65,000 won for a dome room meant for 2-8 people, and the charcoal was excellent. There's a shared fridge for an extra 5,000 won. Hongcheon stays cool at night even in midsummer, but it was a shame there was no air conditioning.

I booked this because it was near Ocean World, but the room was dirty, and the towels and pillows smelled so bad I couldn't use them. I don't think I'll book it again.
