The room was clean and we liked it, with a lovely view and a kitchen where you can cook. There were futons, but no water cooler or carafe, which was a shame. The basement has lots of shops, grocery stores, cafés, and pharmacies. We came to Sono Hotel for the first time as foreigners. Our bus from Seoul got us there at 10 a.m., though check-in wasn't until 3 p.m. We were tired, the children were tired and hungry, and we had lots of luggage and wanted to change clothes. The luggage storage wouldn't take cash, so we weren't sure where to leave our bags or whether we could check in around 11. A kind person at the front desk helped us sort out the luggage, and we're very grateful. We also had to leave the room by 11 a.m., but our bus wasn't until 6 p.m., so we faced the luggage problem again. We ended up leaving a night early rather than spending seven hours at reception, from 11 to 6, even though we'd paid for that night.

The hotel gives you hand towels instead of regular ones, barely enough to dry one leg. And if you get there before check-in, don't count on being able to leave your luggage. You'll have to stay with your bags or use a locker. Lol.

The suite is a good size and has a small kitchen. There’s one bed, plus blankets for sleeping on the floor, but that option would be uncomfortable if you need a bed to sleep on. We were only given one room key, so ask for a second one. The key has to be in the slot for the lights and power to work. Also, there was a used towel hanging up with fresh lipstick wiped on it, so check the towels before using them.

Best ski resort near Seoul. If you bring kids, take them to snowyland, they'll have a blast.
