The furnishings, dishes, and cups all had a style I really liked. I was also surprised by how powerful the hairdryer was, stronger than any I’ve used at a hotel. The place exceeded my expectations, and the owner welcomed me with tangerines from their orchard. It has a small living room, bedroom, bathroom with a shower but no bathtub, and a little kitchen.
A satisfying two-night stay >__
The room is about twice the size of a hotel room, and there’s a washing machine. Towels are available in the common room, which covers the amenities I usually look for in a hotel. It was a little humid when I first came in, but I’m really pleased with the stay. I’d recommend it for a trip around Seogwipo. The only drawback is that there aren’t many convenience facilities nearby.
Beeke is an easy five-minute walk away, and the bus stop is close too, so getting around is convenient. It’s also near downtown Seogwipo. The owner was very kind, and the accommodation was clean and tidy.
Separate living room and bedroom is the answer. It’s hard to get that for around 56,000 won at a budget-friendly place. The air conditioning is powerful, the refrigerator is a decent size, there’s shared laundry on the first floor, and the front and back windows give good airflow. I didn’t hear the neighbors or notice cooking smells. They even switched on the air conditioning before I checked in so I’d be comfortable. The downsides: no seasoning, rice spatula, or spatula, so frying eggs was tricky.
