I came for the Seongsan sunrise, but the stay really put me in a bad mood. BBQ wasn't allowed, and nobody told me beforehand. I didn't like the staff's tone, the cleanliness, or much else. Whether those things meet my personal standards is subjective, of course, but it left me feeling they don't take customers seriously. With reviews already being poor, it's not hard to see why. I wonder if a refund is possible.

I've stayed in guesthouses before, but this was the worst one I've experienced, and I usually don't even leave reviews. Some staff were rude. Drinking and socializing seemed fine, but one person made their displeasure very obvious. The bathroom was broken, and despite booking a double room, it felt like staying in a motel. The towels didn't work properly and kept shedding hairs. I couldn't tell whose they were, and after drying myself I was so shocked that I had to use my own towel. I don't think I'll return.

I went there after confusing it with another Sun City place, and regretted the choice. If you're considering the party because of the blog promotion, I wouldn't recommend it. It costs 20,000 won per person, but the pork belly is frozen, the omelet arrives cold, and there's no stew. Each person is limited to half a bottle of soju; for more alcohol, you have to buy it there for 3,000 won. There's a convenience store right outside, but they insist you buy everything at the guesthouse. It felt much more commercialized than other guesthouses. They send people to a nearby bar for a second round, but it closes early, so the taxi fare there and back didn't seem worthwhile. When I visited in cold, rainy weather, the floor heating worked but the upper bunks in the dorm were cold. Other places had electric blankets. The place was advertised as having the latest facilities, yet the bathroom smelled like a sewer. The one bright spot was the abalone porridge at breakfast, which was delicious, though the portion was tiny, haha. That's why I'm giving it 1.5 stars.

I found this place while searching for somewhere to stay around Seongsan. The view was great, and the facilities were clean with warm water. I was very satisfied. The party was fun, and breakfast's abalone porridge was delicious.
